Day 2 of no Sugar

Hello,
Today is #2 for me.  I woke up fine but throughout the day I have been tired.  I do not know if I can attribute it to the absence of sugar or to my private Pilates class yesterday or to both.  I guess I will know more tomorrow.

I had to leave my house in a hurry today so I did not get to eat breakfast.  Bad mistake because one thing led to another and I did not eat until 4PM.  So I quickly put this salad together and ate it.  This is only half of what I prepared and I ate it all. 

Arugula, walnut, goat cheese & raisin salad
3.5 oz of arugula
2.5 goat cheese
a handful of walnuts
a handful raisins
combine all ingredients and add extra virgin olive oil or a homemade balsamic vinaigrette

I used to have craisins in this salad but they have 40% added sugar to them.   Who knew?  Anyway the bag of arugula I purchased was 7oz.  I was so hungry that I prepared another salad.  Well I took about 2 bites and I was done.  It took a few minutes for my brain to register I was full.  That was cool.  I had read to wait 20 minutes before having seconds.  Something I must practice.

Now I have an awesome tasting salad in the refrigerator and I am hoping it does not wilt too much by the time I get to it tomorrow.  Yuck!  I do know a few people that like wilted salad but it is not for me.  I do not know if I will snack later tonight since it is late.  If I do I will edit this post in the morning.

Oh it looks like I lost 1 pound already.  I know our weight fluctuates but I will check my weight again in the morning.

Today I consumed:
16 oz of water with fresh squeezed lemon
 32 oz of water
a large arugula salad with walnuts, goats cheese and raisins
1 banana
2 oz grass fed cow cheddar cheese
